A Peaceful Christmas

We are blessed here in the United States. We have relative peace. Unfortunately, it is so in a good portion of the world. There has been war in the Middle East since the southern and eastern kings fought as recorded in Genesis, but the massacre on October 7th, 2023 was the final straw that broke the camel’s back between Israel and Hamas. It was the heinous of actions imaginable.

Some tend to believe the “war” is between the Nation of Israel and the Nation of Palestine, but this is incorrect. There is no nation of Palestine. There could have been. Under the Clinton Administration, a peace plan was brokered that could have set up a two nation solution to the ongoing conflict, but the Palestinian leadership would not agree to the settlement, so there has been more years of hostilities than the people deserved.

We are financing Ukraine in the Russian/Ukrainian War; some say, even to the detriment of our own country. I have my doubts as to who are the good guys and the bad guys. Only time will tell.

Yet, we have no major conflicts on our nation’s soil. For that we are blessed.

We pray that conflicts will diminish, but it will take years to heal the wounds, even if all conflicts ended this moment. There is always hope.

Please continue to pray for peace. Please encourage our leaders to continue to negotiate for peace.

“Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called children of God.” Matthew 5:9
